R/Mo CoF (Cathedral of Flames) solo build
You may all think this is unusual, but I have heard in Guild Wars that an R/Mo build for the Cathedral of Flames (NM or HM) does exist. I was once doing a mission in Prophecies, and was discussing with one of my party members where he/she farmed. He/she replied that they, like me, they farmed in the CoF. I said that I farmed with my Mo/Me along with a Smiter. However, he/she told me that they farmed in the CoF also, but with a Ranger.
All the info I could get out of him was that you must use Barrage and Judge's Insight to successfully farm the CoF in HM SOLO.
The player soon left the mission, saying that he had to leave. I was unable to get the build. However, I am supposing that he/she used a similar build of the 600 in the 600/Smite duo CoF HM Farming Build. But, he incorporated Barrage to attack more than one enemy at once, and Judge's Insight to convert his damage to Holy Damage.
There is a start to the build, and if anyone can find out what the build is, I would hope that you can show it here. Keep in mind that the drops would be GREAT as you are solo, NOT duo (or more). Also, the build would most likely take longer.
Good luck, and there is a start to the build. I am also currently trying to make the build, but, my ranger hasn't reached Doomlore Shrine yet.
Good Luck once again,
Lambros

I have made a build which seems to have a good chance of working. Ill be testing it tomorrow, and will report soon later on how it goes.
Talk to you all soon

Hmm, dont think a ranger is capable of doing this, but its definetly worth trying.. I think a possible build will look something like this:
Barrage {elite}
Live Vicariously
Vigorous Spirit
Judges Insight
Purge Conditions
Balthazar's Spirit
Healing Breeze
Vital Blessing
I dont know, if it is possible, and I would be suprised if it was, then it would be something along these lines I think

thanks for the replies, especially Zazael.
In the process of trying 2 find a build I discovered a build that has a 90% chance of working. It is an Any/Mo build for the CoF HM run.
As I said, Ill test it tomorrow.
Im surprised nobody has made a new build for this task yet...maybe they are so shocked that the current one is so successful lol. Who knows.
Please keep posting,
something could be made off this, a new money-maker for when the current build gets nerfed.

Oh being a ranger-fan I surely hope we can discover this mysterious build lol. But I'm afraid its not possible to actually SOLO this, I think you'll always need a smiter/prot hero in case for this to work, since even pure monks need a hero/smiter for it.
If current ideas dont work it might be an idea to use a hero with life barrier and some prot enchantments, and go as a R/Rt VwK? Or maybe the same concept but not with a VwK but as famine(oh but that would go so damn slow i think)..
Just some thoughts, GL

Barrage
Heart of Holy Flame<-over judges insight(30seconds holy damage)
Vital Boon
Conviction
Mystic Regeneration
these are the main skills i used to farm CoF with my ranger in NM, im very skeptical about doing it in HM with a lone ranger.

Uhh, B-Flash Shock Phantoms anyone? The amount of them would make it incredibly hard to get a hit on, even if you purged. Combined with Cracked Armor ( Shell Shock ) and Weakness ( Enervating ) I think this would be near impossible. Also, the Charr Doms Strip Enchantments, so that wouldn't work either.

Jestar, the Charr strip enchants in the normal 600/Smite build, so if they do it in this case, jst recast the enchants

Someone posted a thread about every profession being able to 600/smite it....
The ranger's elite was Melandru's Resilience...
spirit bond, prot spirit, shield of absorption or the obvious follow ups... monk hero had Spellbreaker....
hope this was any help.

This could very well be the case, I know there is enough room at the start of CoF so, all of level 1 should be good to go.
However, is it possible that the undead casters won't come within casting range if you are using a flat bow and you can just shot them till they die, like the ice imps in the Shiverpeeks or the Spirit Shepherds in FoW.
I would also think you would have to avoid the Char if that is even possible. I don't go into CoF much so, I can't remember the layout and the mobs very well.

One could always use the old prot bond/greater conflagration/storm chaser gag for tanking but at that point who cares anyways since essentially you are 600/smiting.
